question at different moments. Each resource is tagged with the point in the work it
serves.
Describe what you observed
Character guides and controlled terminology, so your description means the same thing to the next reader.
These are Clio's published subject areas, taken from the home page rather than invented here. An area is marked started only when at least one checked reference branch behind it is live. The branches overlap where the work overlaps — shared name and occurrence services support every biological field, while microscopy and molecular evidence remain distinct routes rather than being presented as interchangeable.

A subject area is marked started when at least one dated, checked reference branch is
available for it. Coverage can still be regional or taxonomically uneven, and every
